Wallpapers To Go - Largest
Wallpaper Retail Chain in the US Selling wallpaper
online represented a unique set of challenges for MegaIQ. With nearly 100,000
individual patterns to choose from, the ability to show a customer only the patterns that
meet their taste was the most challenging aspect of this website. Color seemed to be
one of the most important criteria within the selection options. Other online
resellers of wallpaper have classified each pattern with color names arbitrarily assigned
from a list of 30-60 colors. In order to give Wallpapers To Go a competitive
advantage, MegaIQ developed a revolutionary computer application
that would analyze a digital image file to determine what the primary, secondary, tertiary
and quarternary colors are based on their RGB (Red, Green Blue) values of which there are
over 16 million different color values. These values are stored with the data
related to each pattern. With the use of a mouse- over color wheel on the website, a
customer can choose from 262,144 possible color selections, thereby easily matching a
fabric or paint swatch. Our system then searches for all the patterns that most
closely match the selected color.

Texas Spa Covers - Custom
manufactured spa covers This company offers a
selection of 12 different spa cover shapes, in 13 different colors. Each shape
requires collecting all of the necessary measurements related to that particular style
cover in order to build a cover that fits the customer's spa. Covers also have a
half-dozen other optional features that can be selected. Once a cover is ordered,
shipping is calculated based on 7 regional zones. Due to the custom nature of their
product, this shopping cart system had to be totally custom from the ground up. |

Prior to engaging MegaIQ, the company relied on an on-line order form, requiring visitors
to manually enter stock numbers, descriptions, prices and calculate their own discounts,
shipping, sales tax and totals. MegaIQ upgraded the website with BUY buttons for
each item, automatically adding desired items to a shopping cart, calculating the
discounts, shipping, taxes and totals. |
